Kyle John Metcalf of Longmont, Colorado, died September 20, 2008, at St. Anthony's Hospital, Denver. He was 17.Kyle was a son, brother, cousin, friend, and a man of love. Music embodied Kyle and he lived by the notes of his song. A free spirit, he lived life by the second, not minute, hour or day. Intelligent and a free thinker, he took greater pride in his randomness and humor with all he met. Always supportive, he looked for the positive and bright side of everyone and everything. He attempted to bring a smile to all those he interacted with. A loyal friend he truly cared what happened to his friends and acquaintances. He demonstrated his Christian faith by his constant acts of caring and kindness. He truly and genuinely lived a fun filled life. Everyday was a good day for Kyle.Kyle was a senior at Longmont High School where he has been active in the orchestra and numerous advanced courses. He was inquiring about universities next year and looked forward to those challenges to come. He volunteered both at the Longmont Humane Society and Applewood Living Center.
