Larry H. Acord

Larry H. Acord, 74, of Torrington, WY and formerly of Longmont, CO passed away December 11, 2019 at LifeCare Center of Longmont.He was born May 30, 1945 in Denver to Harry and Frances Acord. He graduated from Longmont High School in 1964. Larry married Diana Lang on Oct. 12, 1963 in Longmont and they later divorced. He married Germaine Riggs in 1992.Larry spent most of his life in Longmont, moving to Torrington in 2002.Larry was an operations manager in the technology industry. He had worked for IBM and StroageTek; then started, owned and operated Vitaco.He was a member of Life Way church in Torrington.Larry was a people person and had a lot of friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards.He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Germaine.Larry is survived by four children LeAnn McCrum and husband John, Greg Acord and wife Annemarie, Heidi Huff and husband Steve and Varity Riggs and husband Jonah Smith; ten grandchildren Jack, Rachel, Marlena, Ruby, Josephine, Sam, Claire, Michael, Alder and Adric; one great grandchild on the way and his brother Herbert Acord and wife Virginia.Memorial service will be held 10:30 am Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel in Longmont.
