

Larry Marvin Lloyd of Longmont, CO passed away on January 25, 2017 at The Medical Center of the Rockies. He was 68 years old. Larry was born on September 16, 1948 in Del Norte, Colorado to Marvin E. Lloyd and Doris R. (Smith) Lloyd. He was raised in Monte Vista, CO where he attended grade school and high school. Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army, 1st Calvary Division during the Vietnam War. He earned the National Defense Service Metal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and was awarded the Bronze Star.
On February 12, 1972 he married Diana L. Stone in Monte Vista, CO. Together they had a son, Bradlee. Later, they divorced. In 1980 he and Brad moved to Longmont, CO. On June 2, 1984, he married Mary ""Jo"" Hill at Peaceful Valley, CO. Together they had a daughter, Jenna.
Larry worked for LIFECARE building and repairing iron lungs and ventilators. He continued his career in the medical equipment manufacturing and quality assurance fields with Respironics, Sunrise Medical, PEAK Industries, and Delphi Medical.
He enjoyed watching the Colorado Avalanche, and was a big Oakland Raiders fan. In his younger years, he was a bull, bareback and saddle bronc rider competing in rodeos within Colorado. Later, he was a coach for the CU Rodeo Team. Larry was an avid antelope, deer, and elk hunter and enjoyed spending time with his son Brad in his beloved Colorado mountains. He was a friend of Bill W. for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mary ""Jo"" of Longmont , son Bradlee of South Fork, CO, daughters Jenna of Longmont, and Tanya of Cheyenne WY. Aunts Wilma Tillotson, Fowler, CO and Alma Jean (Shirley) Lott, Romulus, MI, sister Peggy (Gene) Whitten, Colorado Springs, CO Brothers-in-law Greg (Betty) Hill, Londonderry, NH, Jeff (Alice) Hill, Longmont, CO, numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is further survived by his beloved Grand-Dogs, Izzy, Motley, Deuce, Blu, and Grand-Cat, Pawsie.
Larry was preceded in death by his Parents; Marvin and Doris (Smith) Lloyd, Grandparents Webster (Susie) Smith and Robert (Ida) Loyd , Step-Father; Willis Teed, Step-Sister; Ann Lowery, Aunt; Alleyne Jackson, Uncles; Webster Smith Jr., Donald, and Loran (LD) Smith and John Lloyd.
Cremation has been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Crematory. A memorial service will take place at a later date.
