Lawrence "Larry" Wayne Budler

Larry Budler was born on August 19, 1944, in Geneva, Nebraska to Louis and Ann (Kamler) Budler. He helped his dad on the family farm near Fairmont, NE. He graduated from Fairmont High School in 1961 and worked for the Ford Dealership before enlisting into the U.S. Air Force Reserves.

Larry later met Sharon Budler and they were married on August 16, 1974. They moved to Colorado in 1976, with their sons Ronald Budler and Rick Budler. Larry started out working on some local ranches in the Longmont area before working for King Soopers. He was eventually promoted to Night Crew Foreman. He retired from the Boulder store after 30 plus years. Larry enjoyed traveling, showing horses, and spending time with his family and friends. He was best known for his kindness and being mischievous.

Larry is survived by his son Rick (Fort Collins). His grandsons Joey (Lexie) of Mead, and Jacoby (Ana) of Spencer, IA. Granddaughters Alex (Tyler) Ravenscroft of Spencer, IA, and Stevie (Mike) Hill, Estes Park, and Natalie Hansis, Longmont, CO. Great-grandson Nicholas and great granddaughter Luna. Caregiver Marcia Brace. Siblings include Barb (Bill) Lorenz, of Crete, NE, Jim (Doni) of Longmont, CO, John (Linda) of York, NE, and brother-in-law Morris O’Brien of Kearney, NE. Larry is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents Louis and Ann Budler, his wife Sharon Budler, son Ronald Budler, sister Caroline O’Brien, nephews Chris Lorenz and Andy Budler.

A visitation for Larry will be held Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Howe Mortuary Community Room, 439 Coffman Street, Longmont, Colorado 80501. Family will be present from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Friday, June 13, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Howe Mortuary Chapel. A reception will follow at 11:30 AM at 129 Hunters Cove Road, Mead, CO 80542.
