Layne Kelly Jarrett

Layne was born August 23, 1985 in Reno, Nevada to Brad and Lynda Wigglesworth. She was the oldest child and was joined three years later by a brother, Sean. She grew up and attended school in Winnemucca, Nevada. After graduating from Lowry High School as Valedictorian, she attended University Nevada Reno (UNR), where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in BioChemistry, with a 4.0 GPA, in 2007. Layne was the Herz Gold Medal recipient from UNR, a prestigious award honoring the top graduating student. She graduated from Colorado State University with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2012.

Layne married her high‐school sweetheart, Tyler Jarrett, on August 14, 2004 in the Salt Lake LDS temple. He was the love of her life. They loved to do everything together, especially camping, hiking, and horseback riding.

Layne had a great love for animals. She was eager and willing to help anyone with a pet problem. Much of her time was spent with her four dogs ‐ Rory, Maisey, Petrie, and Stitch. She especially enjoyed endurance riding with her beloved horse, July. She also loved painting, sewing, scrapbooking, and reading. Layne was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‐day Saints.

Layne is survived by her husband, Tyler Jarrett of Longmont, Colorado. She is also survived by parents, Brad and Lynda Wigglesworth; brother, Sean Wigglesworth; parents‐in‐law, Jeff and Natalie Jarrett (all of Winnemucca, NV); brothers and sisters‐in‐law, Riley and Cassie Jarrett of Eagle Mountain, Utah; Chantel and Reuben Johnson of Provo, Utah; Trevin and Kayla Jarrett of Tooele, Utah; grandmother, Wanda Jayo of Elko, Nevada; grandmother, Beverly Wigglesworth of Henderson, Nevada; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 8, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Longmont LDS Church Building at 1721 Red Cloud Road, Longmont, Colorado. Preceding funeral services will be a viewing from 9:30‐10:30 am. The burial will take place Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 5:00 pm at the Levan, Utah Cemetery.
