Lennox Steele

He was born December 18, 1936 in Grenada West Indies. He was married to Carolyn P. Reece on August 6, 1958. Together with his wife and two children he immigrated to the United States in 1962 and they lived in New Jersey, where they had their third child. In 1977 he, his wife and three children moved to Colorado where he worked at Hansen’s Industries. He was employed many years as a machinist and toolmaker at Hansen‘s and other companies in Boulder and Longmont, Colorado. He also owned and operated a tool polishing business, Falcon Enterprises. He and his wife relocated to South Dakota in 1999.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn, daughters P. Karen Humphrey and her husband David of Erie, Colorado and Michelle West and her husband Jeffrey of Berthoud, Colorado; sisters Madge Franko of Antigua and Annette Joseph of Montreal, Canada; grandchildren Anette and husband Casey Williams of Longmont, Richard Steele Jr. and wife Lindsey, of Fredrick, Terry Humphrey of Erie, Carolyn Humphrey of Aurora, Kail, Savannah and Arianna West of Berthoud; and 7 great-grandchildren; Brittany, Mckenzie, Jorden, Jacob, Leah, Cameron and Isaac.

He was preceded in death by his son Richard L. Steele and Richard’s wife Marie of Rapid City, South Dakota.

Services will be held Saturday September 18th at 11:30 am at Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman Street Longmont, Colorado. Viewing will precede the service from 10-11:00 a.m .on the 18th. A reception will follow the service and be held at the same location.
