
LeRoy A. Haas, 83, of Longmont passed away August 23, 2018, at Balfour Retirement Community in Louisville, Colorado. He was born March 18, 1935, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to August and Martha (Meyer) Haas.LeRoy graduated from North High School in Denver in 1953, and married his high school sweetheart, JoAnn Lohr, on May 28, 1955, in Denver.LeRoy was a Denver firefighter and former Captain at Station 12 in Denver. He was of the Catholic faith, a member of Local 858. He also enjoyed the Denver Broncos, traveling in their RV and camping. After retirement he enjoyed living on their farm and raising cattle. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife JoAnn who passed on October 21, 2017.LeRoy is survived by his daughters; Sheryl Coloroso (Bryan) and Meri Vickers (Jeff), his son Larry Haas (Laura), seven grandchildren: Robert, Dakota, Jenna, Alek, Kyle, Kevin and Katey, and his sister Beverly Haase (Wallace).Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 Noon, Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 3791 Pike Road in Longmont. Interment will follow at Foothills Gardens of Memory Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to IAFF Denver Firefighters local 858 Charitable Foundation and sent in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, 326 Terry St. Longmont, Colorado 80501.
