

Linda K. Christensen passed away on January 29, 2026. She was born on March 6, 1950, in Denver, Colorado, to Charles Murphy and Helen Edith Murphy. Linda graduated from Woodstock Community High School in 1968. After graduation, she attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah receiving an Associate’s Degree in Secretarial Technology, and working as the Department Secretary in the Statistics Department at the University. While at BYU, Linda met Grant, a recently returned missionary, and they were engaged. They broke their engagement when Grant entered the Army during the Vietnam War. Reengaged just prior to Grant leaving the Army, they were married in the Provo, Utah Temple on June 27, 1973. They both returned to BYU until Grant graduated.
Linda’s greatest priority and joy was being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved doing crafts with friends, like ceramics, needlepoint, crocheting, and quilting. While in Longmont, she worked in the office at Longmont Dairy Farms for many years.
Linda was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved our Savior, Jesus Christ, and served by helping others know Him through her loving service.
Linda loved to serve in the Temples of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her volunteer Temple service started in the Denver, Colorado Temple, and continued in the Redlands, California Temple, while she lived in California, and continued in the Fort Collins, Colorado Temple. The latter two Temples she volunteered alongside her husband, Grant. Grant and Linda were able to serve a church service mission for LDS Employment Resource Services from August 2014 to August 2017, helping people find a job or upgrade their employment.
Linda is survived by her husband Grant, her children Travis B (Treasure) Christensen (Santa Clara, UT), Trent Christensen (Littleton, CO), Todd G (Alissa) Christensen (Alpine, UT), Tyson R (Nina) Christensen (Longmont, CO), her grandchildren Becca (Ryan) Gibby (St. George, UT), Bryan Christensen (Santa Clara, UT), Laydon (Atlanta, GA Mission), Adelynn, Aubrey, Amelia Christensen (Alpine, UT), Qwynn, Alwyn, Jaxon, Minka (Longmont, CO). Also, her brother, David R (Sue) Murphy (Panama) and his children, Sean (Jen) Murphy (Del Ray Beach, FL), Kristi (JC) Murphy, (Jace and Elias) (Ft Lauderdale, FL). Great-grandchild, Ronan Gibby (St. George, UT)
Proceeding Linda in death were her parents Charles and Helen Murphy and a brother, Wes Murphy.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Howe Mortuary and Crematory, 439 Coffman Street in Longmont, Colorado.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 9029 Grand Mesa Avenue, Frederick, Colorado. A family prayer will be held before the service at 9:00am.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 1:30 pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S Sheridan Blvd. Denver, Colorado, 80235.Staging Area Red. Drive from Church to Cemetery at 12:00 (about 1 hour south of Church).
