Linda S. Jewell

She was born to parents William and Ellen Shortell, on September 14th, 1948, in Iowa City, Iowa. The family soon moved to Linden St. in Boulder, CO. Linda graduated from Boulder High School in 1966. In 1969, she graduated from University of Iowa with her degree in Dental Hygiene. By 1970, Linda was an officially licensed and employed dental hygienist, the beginning of a long, successful career.

Linda was an avid skier; proficient on both snow and water. She also developed a heartful passion for painting, which she would continue to be involved with until her passing. Linda’s love for family and nature lead to many road trips and adventures with her children. She also developed skill with roses, nurturing the love she had for gardening and the outdoors.

On April 5th, 2021, Linda Jewell was baptized by Pastor Matt Hessel at LifeBridge Christian Church, and her faith continued to blossom through the rest of her life. Linda was immensely proud of her family and will be deeply missed by those that knew her. Her light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts and memories.

Linda is survived by her three children Elizabeth Hyde, Malcolm E Jewell III, Richard Jewell, and her granddaughter, Jasmine Hyde.

A Celebration of Life was held for Linda on Monday, February 28, 2022 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel in Longmont. The family extends their deepest gratitude to those that were able to attend and share together in a beautiful remembrance.
