Linda Sue Lindley, 62, was taken from our lives on July 27 after a valiant and hard fought battle with Leukemia. Her family was by her side at Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center in Denver. She was born on July 5, 1954 to Wayne and Beth Eileen (Painter) Hales of Casper, WY where she grew up and graduated from Kelly Walsh High School, class of ˜72. After high school she earned her A.S. in Radiology Technology from Laramie County Community College and went to work for Gem City Bone and Joint in Laramie, eventually becoming their Medical Coder before leaving to start and manage her own successful business. In 1985 she married Lane Lindley and they raised two wonderful, driven and intelligent children, Greg and Michala. She and Lane later divorced. Aside from her children, friends and family, she was also proud of her four legged kids, Ellie and Madee.Linda attacked life with vigor. She was an accomplished water skier, horsewoman, seamstress and gardener. When she discovered quilting, she went after it with enthusiasm and became a member of an unofficial quilting club and gained even more good friends. They originally met once a week and enjoyed it enough to increase their gathering to another night per week at the Mug Club at Altitude Brewing in Laramie where I'm sure many fine quilting stories were exchanged along with a laugh or two. In spite of that or because of that, her family and friends are blessed with numerous beautiful quilts.Linda is preceded in death by her parents and survived by her children, Greg (Stephanie) Lindley of Casper, and Michala Lindley of Pullman, WA; her sisters Judy Hales of Roseville, CA and Debbie (Mike) McLemore of Casper; and her beloved dogs Ellie and Madelyn.A celebration of life will be held at noon on Saturday, August 6th, 2016 at the family home in Laramie, 1427 Symons Street. Memorial contributions can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Visit www.ahlbergfuneralchapel.com to share condolences.
