Linda Sue Welch

Linda was born September 13, 1945 in Kearney, Nebraska to Earle Roy and Phyllis Elaine (Lynch) Bond. The Bond’s moved to Galesburg, Illinois where Linda graduated from high school and attended one year of college, studying art.

She met her husband Myron (Mick) J. Welch while living in Galesburg, Illinois. Linda and Mick were neighbors that met at the bus stop. They married in 1965, in Longmont, Colorado where they settled and raised their family.

Besides her love for music, gardening, cooking, playing pool, china painting and a good cup of coffee, Linda selflessly devoted her life to her family. When it came to us nothing was too big or too small. She was a dedicated daughter, wife, mom and grandma. She was the perfect combination of strength and softness. Her warmth could be felt by everyone lucky enough to be surrounded by her unconditional love. She will forever be a part of our lives and greatly missed.

Linda is survived by her beloved husband Mick, her loving children Brad (Malinda) Welch of Kemmerer, Wyoming, Kimberly (John) Dirkes of Longmont, Colorado, and Shawn (Tina) Welch of Loveland, Colorado. Her brothers Preston Bond, John (Marty) Bond and Max (Roxanne) Bond. Five wonderful grandchildren and four adoring great grandchildren, along with a host of loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Earle and Phyllis, her Sister in Law Charlotte Bond and nephew Jake Bond.

A short graveside service will be held at 1:00pm, Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Mountain View Cemetery, 620 11th Avenue Longmont, Colorado 80501.
