Lorna Pauline Davenport

Lorna Pauline ""Polly"" Davenport of Longmont, died July 28, 2009 at Longmont United Hospital. She was 79.Polly was born on July 20, 1930 in Ransom, Illinois to Paul McGuire and Lorna Kohrt. Polly married Robert Davenport on November 17, 1950 in Boulder, Colorado. The couple moved to Longmont shortly thereafter. Her family was her dearest interest, especially quality time with her grandchildren.Polly will be missed by those she touched throughout the years. Always quick to lend a helping hand, she was known for her friendly, outgoing spirit and selfless generosity. Preceding her in death were her husband, a son Don Davenport and a brother Virgil McGuire.Surviving are her daughter Lori Wormser of Yucaipa, California; a son Robert Davenport, Jr. and his wife Vaunette of Longmont; a sister Dorothy McGuire of Pasadena, California; four grandchildren Nohl Wormser of Redlands, CA, Kyle Wormser of LaMirada, CA. Ronny Wormser of Boise, Idaho and LeaLane Pippin of Riverside, CA; and two great grandchildren Audrey Jane Biles and Austin Lee Pippin.The family will greet friends at the Howe Community Room on Monday, August 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., for a time of sharing and refreshments. The casket will remain closed.Graveside services will follow at 11:00 a.m., at the Foothills Gardens of Memory with Pastor Ken Martinez of Rocky Mountain Bible Baptist Church officiating.
