Lynn McCain

Lynn Marie McCain, of Longmont, passed away at her home on November 6, 2016. She was 74. Lynn was born in Denver County on May 4, 1942 to the late Charles and Evelyn (Scholz) Pigeon. She grew up in the Denver area and married Gene Edward McCain in Lyons, Colorado on October 9, 1965. Lynn and Gene made their home in Longmont and were blessed with two sons.

Lynn attended CSU for a couple of years and worked outside the home as a senior secretary for Dow Chemical. Her true love and passion in life was raising her two sons and taking care of her family. Lynn was a fabulous homemaker and enjoyed canning and gardening. She was especially fond of her iris and roses. Lynn truly enjoyed the outdoors.

Lynn is survived by her husband, Gene, of Longmont; two sons, Steve and Jim (Jen) McCain both of Lyons, CO; grandchildren, Colton, Jared and Joe McCain and a sister, Sharon Ann (Bryon) McConnell also of Lyons. In addition to her parents, Lynn was preceded in death by her siblings, Johns Pigeon and Nancy Pigeon Totten.

A graveside memorial service will be held 11am, Friday, November 18, at the Lyons Cemetery.
