Maria Ciccarelli

Maria ?Cola? Ciccarelli of Frederick, died March 30, 2007 at her residence. She was 92.Mrs. Ciccarelli was born on November 14, 1914 in Cansano, Italy to Salvatore DeSantis and Maria Morelli DeSantis. On February 14, 1931 she marred Vincent Ciccarelli in Cansano. The family moved to Frederick in 1937. She was a member of St. Theresa?s Catholic Church, Frederick.Mrs. Ciccarelli went to work for Samsonite Luggage, Denver as an assembler, where she stayed for 18 years. She then joined her son, cooking at his restaurant, the Wine Cellar in Longmont. Later she was a cook for Frederick schools.Preceding her in death were her husband, and a daughter Freda Elizabeth Soucie.Surviving are two sons Vic Ciccarelli and his wife Alice of Denver, and Tony Ciccarelli and his wife Donna Jean of Lakewood, a son in law Frank Soucie of Boulder, a brother Carmen DeSantis and his wife Anna of Frederick, a sister Lillian DiPaolo of Gallup, N.M., 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, April 1 at the Howe Mortuary, with the family present.A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 2, 2007. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2007, both services will be held at St. Theresa?s Catholic Church, with Reverend Robert Whipkey officiating.
