Marie Marlene Rodda

Marie Marlene Rodda, 58, of Niwot, CO died Thursday, September 27, 2007 at Longmont United Hospital.Marie was born January 12, 1949 in Harlowton, Montana. She lived in Denver for many years and worked as a dispatcher for Denver Water, retiring in 2004.On September 13, 2003, Marie married Daniel Rodda, Sr. in Hygiene, Colorado. The couple enjoyed traveling together, especially to Mexico and Hawaii, a special riverboat trip down the Mississippi River, and the Lake Country of Minnesota. She also loved the beauty of the Colorado mountains. Marie was a talented gardener who grew beautiful flowers which were enjoyed by her husband, friends, and neighbors. Marie was a member of the Women of the Moose #1548, and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 32.She is survived by her husband, Daniel Rodda, Sr., of Niwot; two brothers, Ed (Shellie) Adair, and Andrew Bowman; three sisters, Virginia (Charles) Adair, Retha Vavrick, and Margaret Petersen; two step-children, Daniel (Rita) Rodda, Jr. and Michelle (Robert) Wright; and several nieces and nephews.Marie was preceded in death by her mother, Victoria Falcon Bowman, a brother, Robert Bowman, Jr., and her beloved dog, Shadow.Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Howe Mortuary, Longmont. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel, Longmont.
