

Marjorie Kathryn Faubel Kohl, daughter of Henry and Katherine Faubel was born June 4, 1926 and promoted to heaven July 29, 2016. She was baptized July 2, 1926 and confirmed June 4 1939 at Grace Lutheran Church in Norfolk, Nebraska.
She attended Norfolk schools and graduated May 1944 from Norfolk Senior High. During her summers, she worked at Rasby’s Cleaners, Hested Dime Store, and the Eviscerating Plant.
After graduating, she worked for Western Union in Omaha for a year and then returned to Norfolk. Upon completing a Red Cross course, she worked at Lutheran Hospital in Norfolk and Fremont hospital.
On September 20, 1946, she married the love of her life, Woodrow Adam Richard Kohl at Grace Lutheran Church by Reverend Reivault.
Marjorie was active in her husband’s plumbing business, school PTA, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and worked for a brief time at Dale Electronics.
She enjoyed family, friends, her children’s activities, family vacations, bowling, bell choir, choir, playing cards, crocheting, quilting, being in Laborers for Christ, and life itself.
In 1970, the family moved to Longmont, Colorado for health reasons. Marjorie worked as a Nurse’s Aide at Longmont United Hospital for four years.
Their journey led them to Wyoming where she worked as secretary for Emanuel Lutheran and did throat cultures at the Junior High in Green River and JC Penney’s in Rock Springs.
They once again returned to Colorado in 1990, Oakdale, Nebraska in 1995, Hugo, Colorado in 1997 and then to Norfolk, Nebraska in 2000 following Woodrow’s promotion to heaven in September of 1999. She once again returned to Colorado in 2010 where she has resided until her promotion into heaven.
She is survived by her children: Dr. Randy T. Kohl and wife Judith of Springfield, Nebraska, Carol K. Manchester and husband Dave of Grand Island, Nebraska, Joy Rene Neel and husband Richard of Gilcrest, Colorado, Michelle D. Brown and husband Tom of Berthoud, Colorado, Kevin R. Kohl and wife Connie of Evanston, Wyoming, 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Katherine, sister Lilah, brother Warren, husband Woodrow, son Terry and a grandson Thomas.
“Sweet dreams, may you dance in the clouds, may you sing praises to the Lord. . . we will hold you in our hearts forever!” We love you, Mom!
