

Marjorie E. Miller E., 85, of Longmont, CO, died April 12, 2006 at Longmont United Hospital. Marjorie had lived in Longmont for 23 years.Marjorie was born on January 15, 1921 in Beaver County, Oklahoma to George M. and Beeda S. (Krigler) Wellman. She grew up in Liberal, Kansas and graduated from Liberal High School. She enlisted in the United States Navy and served as a photographer assigned to Washington, D.C. during World War II and attained the rank of Specialist Second Class.She married Wendell C. Miller on December 1, 1945 in Liberal. The family lived in Tulsa and Enid, Oklahoma and then moved back to Liberal. Marjorie was a homemaker and also a secretary for a real estate firm. She then was a secretary for over ten years for Humana Hospital in Dodge City before she retired. She then moved to Longmont.Marjorie enjoyed bowing, reading and taking care of and being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also had a cat, ?Sprite? that meant the world to her. Marjorie was also an avid Denver Bronco fan.Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one grandson, Christopher Copple.She is survived by two daughters: Sue Miller and her husband Dave of Longmont and Vicki Copple and her husband Roger of Minneapolis, Kansas. She is also survived by a brother, Marvin Wellman of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, five grandchildren: Ami, Dave, Shawn, Niky, and Cory, and eight great grandchildren.Visitation was held at Howe Mortuary in Longmont on Thursday, April 13. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 15 at 10:00 a.m. in Liberal Cemetery in Liberal, Kansas. Howe Mortuary of Longmont is handling arrangements in Longmont and Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home is handling arrangements in Liberal.Memorial donations may be given in Marjorie's memory to Cinnamon Park, 1335 Cinnamon Drive, Longmont, CO 80501.
