Marlene H. Shryack

Marlene Shryack, 92, of Longmont died on Saturday, September 29, 2018 surrounded by her family.Marlene was born in Fort Collins, CO on February 15, 1926 to Ruth and John Hull. She spent her childhood on her parents' poultry farm in Fort Collins, attended Pleasant View Country School, Lincoln Jr. High and Fort Collins High School, graduating in 1944. She attended Colorado State University, graduating in 1948.After graduation, she taught school in North Platte, NE. Marlene married Vincent Shryack on July 15, 1949 in Fort Collins, CO and they lived in Ardmore, OK, Bartlesville, OK, Houston, TX and Denver, CO before moving to Longmont in 1974.After raising her family, she enjoyed volunteering, and was active in Bible studies, Life Choices Pregnancy Center, PEO Chapter DI and many bridge groups. Marlene was a member of Longs Peak United Methodist Church.Survivors include her husband, Vincent, their four children, Stephen Shryack and wife Beth; Mary Ann Shryack and husband Steve Nichols, John Shryack and Paloma Leonato and Carol Braun and husband Greg; four grandchildren, Nick Shryack and wife Erynn; Mary Beth Gibson and husband Kris; Audrey Braun and Austin Braun; four great grandchildren Cordylia and Lochlann Shryack, Kylan and Keiran Gibson and a great granddaughter Gibson (due in March).A Celebration of Marlene's Life will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Longs Peak United Methodist Church, 1421 Elmhurst Drive in Longmont, CO. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. Burial at Grandview Cemetery, Fort Collins, CO.
