Marshall Frederick Culjat, 42, a much-loved resident of Longmont Colorado, passed away unexpectedly, and suddenly, at home, on April 22, 2022. He was happily going about his day getting ready to BBQ, Candice was preparing to make Eggplant Lasagna, with the 3 girls helping of course.
He was born to Nick and Donna Culjat on a beautiful bright sunny day in Boulder Colorado on July 6, 1979.
Marshall grew up in Longmont. He was always a joy as a child, especially with that bright contagious smile for everyone. He attended Northridge Elementary, Sanborn Elementary, Longs Peak Middle School. He graduated from Longmont High School in 1997.
He worked for King Soopers for many years. In Boulder at 30th and Arapahoe, and Table Mesa, Gunbarrel and Firestone. He also filled in at other stores in the area. He always enjoyed helping and talking to "his" customers. He then worked as an electrician for Wayne's Electric, while doing classes through IECRM. Eventually, Marshall's dream came true, and he "retired" to be a stay-at-home dad.
Marshall enjoyed going on beach vacations, camping trips, working out, bike rides, attending services at Flatirons Church, Reach Church, and walks with his girls. He filled his days enjoying and sharing all his meals with his girls, as they always preferred what daddy had on his plate, taking them to gymnastics, swim lessons, school, homework, as well as many other activities to keep them entertained, even if they were just out front hanging from the tree branches. Marshall was unassuming, and would make friends wherever he went, he had such a great smile and friendly approachable demeanor. He loved God, Jesus, family, and his country. Above all, he enjoyed being a father to his three precious girls, who lovingly called him “Big Daddy”. He was an amazing dad, husband, son, brother, and uncle. He will be missed by so many.
Marshall is survived by his loving wife, Candice, his three daughters, Preslee, Paislee, and Harlee. His parents, Nick and Donna Culjat. Three sisters, Stephanie Kalt Dillon (Wayne Desilets), Nicole Masek (Scott Masek), Danielle Culjat (Josh Wright). Nephews, Jarred Masek, Cade Dillon, Kaidyn Culjat, Brayden Masek, Landen Wright, and his only Niece on Marshall's side, Breeanne Walter. Further surviving are Candice’s Sibling and Family: Robert and Cyndy Lombardi (father and mother-in-law), Lillian Lombardi (grandmother-in-law), Mark and Julie (sister-in-law) Lynch and sons Dylan and Logan Lynch
David Lombardi (brother-in-law), Matt and Becky (sister-in-law) Hasher and son Weston Hasher and daughters Lilli and Stella Hunt, Mike and Bonnie (sister-in-law) Baker and sons Cole and Levi Baker
Matt and Lauren (sister-in-law) Schnabel Keith McGettigan (brother-in-law).
Marshall was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Nick and Agnes (Roberts) Culjat, maternal grandparents Fred and Mary Susan (Sue) (O'Toole) Johns. Brother Nicholas Culjat III. Paternal Aunt, Mary (Culjat) Wells, Paternal Aunt, Vicki Lin (Culjat) Opal, Paternal and Maternal Great grandparents, numerous Great Uncles and Great Aunts and cousins. Dear family friend Ernest (Doc) Beck, and other close friends. Never to be forgotten, were Marshall's faithful loving protectors and companions, likely waiting patiently at the Rainbow Bridge for him, Jewels (Jewelsie), and Benzino (Bean) Culjat.
Marshall has reached his final and joyous destination. He has gone home to spend eternity with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. No doubt that he continues greeting everyone with that contagious welcoming smile.
