

Mary Catherine Brown, of Longmont, Colorado, died March 10, 2006, at Life Care Center of Longmont. She was 88 years oldMary was born March 25, 1917 in Pueblo, Colorado, the daughter if Alex and Elizabeth (Yede) Ball. On November 24, 1936, Mary married Theodore ?Ted? Joseph Brown in Brighton, Colorado. The couple made their home in Longmont.Mr. and Mrs. Brown started a business in 1949 selling Schwinn bicycles and reparing lawnmowers. After selling the business in 1975, the opened Longmont Lock and Key, which was sold in 1978. During part of her career, Mary had worked as a waitress at several area restaurants.She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Women?s Auxiliary of the Loyal Order of Moose in Longmont.Mary was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband, Ted, in 1994, a stillborn child in 1939, two brothers, Phillip and Vern Ball, one sister Veronica Ball, and one grandson Mike Stickler in 1993.Mrs. Brown is survived by her son, Theodore W. Brown and his wife, Eleanor Killebrew of San Francisco, California; a daughter, Judy Mae Breedlove and her husband, Stan, of Boca Raton, Florida; a brother, Adam Ball, and a sister, Catherine Kreutzer, both of Denver. She is further survived by four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at Howe Mortuary followed by a Vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Memorial rites will also be presented by the Women?s Auxiliary of the Moose Lodge. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Longmont with the Reverend Brian Morrow as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Foothills Gardens of Memory, Longmont. A reception will follow the interment at the Moose Lodge, 2210 Pratt Street, Longmont.
