

Mary A. Kolar, age 92 of Longmont died Friday, September 20, 2013 at Beatrice Hover Assisted Living Center in Longmont. Mrs. Kolar was born February 23, 1921 to Louis and Emily (Osterman) Sukala in Phillips, Wisconsin. Mary and Joseph Kolar were married on October 20, 1951 in Berwyn, IL. Mary and Joseph moved to Longmont from Clarendon Hills, Illinois in December of 2003. Mary occasionally worked in an office, but devoted her entire adult life as a “Domestic Engineer”. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, traveling and was of the Catholic Faith.
Survivors include; one niece Jennie Sucha of Longmont and her children James Sucha, Jr., Kimberley Witte and her children Nicholas and Shannon of Longmont and Wendy Hutt and her husband Marc and children Julia and Natalie of Lyons. One nephew, Jerry Sukala of Longmont survives, as well as his daughter Meikien Tran and her family from Reno, Nevada, and many nieces and nephews from Wisconsin. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her siblings and her niece Patricia Antalek.
Family memorial services for Mary will be held at the Carroll-Lewellen Chapel in Longmont with Deacon Mike Berens officiating. Services will conclude at the chapel.
