Mary Ann Mares

Mary Ann was born January 17, 1941 in Cimarron, New Mexico, the daughter of Juanita (Cerna) and Fermin Maes. She was a graduate of Cimarron High School. On September 9, 1961 she married Abencio Mares in Springer, New Mexico. They moved to Colorado in 1963 from New Mexico.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, had worked at Front Range Cable, enjoyed playing bingo, playing Tetras on a play station, sewing and crocheting.

Surviving are her husband Abe, her sons Anthony Mares and Dan (Leeann) Mares, and her daughters Tiffany Mares and Shirley Ann (Ramon) Rodriguez, all of Fort Collins. She is further survived by her brother Jose Mares of Fort Collins and her sisters Angie (Patrick) Duran of Ft. Worth, TX and Margie Maes and Nancy Maes of Fort Collins. She is further survived by four grandchildren: Jessica, Joey, Miguel and Jose and 2 great grandchildren Mia and Isabella Alicia.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel in Longmont. Burial will follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
