Mary E. Pickett died February 11, 2013 at Longmont United Hospital. She was 87 years old.She was born October 3, 1925 in Victor, CO to Eldora and Clara (Bannock) Pickett. She grew up on a ranch in Teller and Park County and moved to Longmont in 1941.Mary was a talented short order cook. She worked in many restaurants in Longmont including Williams Café and Longs Peak Café., she also did domestic house work until her retirement in 1985.She is remembered as a devoted and loving mother.She loved plants and enjoyed gardening.She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.Mary is survived by her son Bill Pickett of Centennial, CO, and numerous cousins including Inza Peel and her husband Lloyd of Longmont.Memorial services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Applewood Living Center.
