

VALENTINE, Mary Lou, 71, of Longmont, died April 23, 2009 at the Applewood Living Center in Longmont.Mary Lou was born February 28, 1938 in Firth, Nebraska, the daughter ofArnold and Carolyn Mae (TeSelle) Valentine. In 1947 the family moved to Longmont from Pueblo. Mary Lou was proud that she had graduated from Old Longmont High School. Mary Lou married Wayne Seybert in Longmont in 1958. The couple later divorced. She volunteered at Central Presbyterian Church where she was a member and at the hospital.Mary Lou enjoyed music and was in the Choir at Central Presbyterian for over 50 years. She was known for her passion for jewelry, creating craft items using her skills of tatting and macramé, solving puzzles, and collecting antiques. More recently, Mary Lou enjoyed playing hand held games and puzzles. Mary Lou is survived by her sister Arlyn Joan Valentine of Kingman, Arizona; two aunts: Amy Sheldon and her husband Benjamin of Eleverson, PA and Phyllis Clemens and her husband Herman of Sioux Center, IA; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2009 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Sam Adams of Central Presbyterian Church officiating. Cremation has been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Crematory, Longmont, COMemorial contributions are requested to the memorial fund at Central Presbyterian Church.
