Mary Bernadette Whitt (Sasser)

She was born on December 9, 1945 in Anchorage, Alaska to Henry Sasser and Claire Provita. Mary attended Grand Island Central Catholic High School, Grand Island Beauty School and the Longmont Beauty College. On August 8, 1988 she married Daniel Whitt in Lake Tahoe, CA. She was a certified trainer in both CPR and first aid classes, worked in Colorado gaming as a cashier manager and compliance officer for the Triple Crown Casinos in Cripple Creek, CO.

Mary will always be remembered for her genuine laugh and her outgoing personality. She loved traveling with her husband of 27 years and loved to see the sights.

Mary is survived by her husband, three sons, Brian (Arianna) Evans, Corey (Heidi) Evans and Stephen Evans; a brother, Charles Mancuso, as well as sixteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., followed by the recitation of the rosary at 7:00, both on Wednesday, March 2, 2106 at Howe Mortuary. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery followed by a reception in the Howe Mortuary Event Room.
