Matt lived his life with intent and purpose. He was an animal lover and lover of life and all that it had to offer. He loved to spend time with his family and extended family of world class friends who adored him. His interests included traveling, fishing, camping and snowboarding, reading. and riding his one-wheel. He was a self-employed entrepreneur. He was member of several local car clubs and attended car meets as often as he could. He was an avid music lover and attended music festivals all over the country.
“A son like Matt is rare; one that’s so generous, smart, and kind. A brother like you is what everyone needs, so full of constant smiles and laughter. Nothing will replace a friend like you, but when you get to heaven, God will be lucky to have you too.”
Matthew Michael “Nova” Melchi was an incredible soul, son, brother, and friend to many. He lit up any room he walked into, and knew just about every single person in it. Matt was charismatic, driven, and passionate about everything he did. He wore his heart on his sleeve and always took care of his loved ones any chance he got. In his short time on earth, he touched many lives in the music scene, on the mountain, at race meets, and everywhere he went; effortlessly making friends and connections across the country.
While, ultimately, through no fault of his own, he is gone too soon, we are all eternally blessed to have had someone as real as he was. His spirit is still alive, his unconditional love living through all of us. Matt’s mom & siblings, who he cherished so much. His nieces & nephews, who looked up to him as the coolest uncle in the world. And Matt’s friends, who he’d do anything for without a second thought.
