Michael Raymond Burgio

Michael Raymond Burgio, 60, passed away suddenly while in town visiting family. He was born April 16, 1955 in Florence, SC to Samuel and Chris Burgio.Michael married Nancy Thomas and they lived in the Longmont/Berthoud area where they raised their family. He had retired and moved to North Carolina earlier in the year.Mike was a car guy and loved any and all cars. He owned and operated a few auto dealerships over the years, primarily Essex Motors that he ran with his family for 11 years.He had the biggest heart and was extremely generous. He took pride in giving back to the community and those in need. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, watching football, and good food. Mike loved his life companions and dogs, Maddie and Tillie.Mike is survived by six children: Michael Burgio, Jr., Melinda Burgio, Kelley Trippy, Ray and Lexi (daughter in law) Burgio, Audrey Burgio and Christine Burgio. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and his siblings Diane Wells, Debbie Huston and Dave Burgio.A Celebration of Life gathering will be from 3:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday, October 4, 2015 at the Longmont Moose Lodge, 2210 Pratt Street. A time for sharing memories will begin at 3:30 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Michael R.
