Michael Thomas Fellows Sr.

Michael was born October 22, 1955, in Butte, Montana to Patrick and Helen Fellows he grew up in Butte with his six siblings.

In 1973 Michael graduated from Butte High school. In 1975 Lynette graduated from Butte High School. They married on January 4,1976 in Butte, Montana. In 1976 Michael joined the Air Force and attended Air Traffic Control School. Together they raised their only son Mike Fellows Jr.

They moved to the Longmont area in 1984.

He worked for the Federal Aviation Administration for over 30 years. During his time in the National Air Traffic Control Association, he was elected into the role of President.

During his free time, he enjoyed a plethora of activities, golf being his most cherished. He joined the Fox Hill Country Club where he remained a very well known and active member of the club. Within his time in the club, he became the president of the Men’s Golf Association.

When he wasn’t attending Tee time or spending time with his family, Michael enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching his favorite sports teams like the Colorado Avalanche, the Green Bay Packers or the CU Buffs. He also enjoyed playing his guitar and listening to different genres of music and yes, loudly! He also enjoyed maintaining and driving his cherished Corvette. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren he loved and adored, they always put a smile on his face.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents Patrick and Helen Fellows, his wife Lynette R. Fellows, his sister Judy Fellows, his father and mother in-law, John Jack and Lorraine Matthews and his brother in-law's Gary and Mike Matthews.

He is survived by his son Mike Fellows Jr. (Kara), his granddaughter Parker Fellows, his grandson Jameson Fellows, his brothers Tim, PJ and Dennis Fellows, his sisters Laura Arntson and Mary Fellows Breen along with his brother in-law Jake Matthews. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends across the country that came to know and love him.

A visitation for Michael will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Howe Mortuary located at 439 Coffman Street, Longmont, Colorado. A service for Michael will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Howe Mortuary of Longmont. At 12:00 p.m. Michael will be laid to rest at Foothills Gardens of Memory located at 14241 N 107th Street, Longmont, Colorado with his wife Lynette. A reception will follow the graveside committal service at Fox Hill Country Club located at 1400 CO-119 Longmont, Colorado.

Guests are encouraged to attend Michael’s services in golf attire.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Cancer Research foundation.
