

Nathan Joseph Serafin, 21, of Longmont, passed away on October 21, 2013. He was born on August 21, 1992 in Boulder, Colorado to Joe and Cindy Serafin. He was the beloved first child and the wonderful big brother to two younger siblings. Nathan spent most of his time outdoors and was usually barefoot. He could be found cooking at Basil Flats, playing Frisbee in the park or hiking and snowboarding in the mountains.
Nathan loved to read, play music and go to music festivals with his best friends. He was forever smiling and had a laugh that would light up the room and the hearts of all the people in it. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his many friends and extended family.
He will live in the hearts of his parents, Joe and Cindy, and his sister and brother, Rachel and Matthew, forever. He will be greatly missed by his loving grandparents, Bob and Betsy Serafin and Warren and Patty Smith, all of Boulder. Nathan’s smile uplifted the hearts of a large group of family and friends. He was much loved and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 25 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Longmont. Services will conclude at the Church.
