Nelda Sipe

Nelda Jean Sipe, 82, of Longmont, CO, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side July 17, 2013. Nelda was born September 29, 1930 in Imperial, Nebraska to Emmett and E. Marie (Besack) Waggoner.Nelda moved to Longmont in the 8th grade and graduated from Longmont High School. On November 6, 1955, she married William Gene Sipe. Nelda was a homemaker and farm wife. She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church and active in the Deborah Circle. She was a member of the Country Club and was honored to be asked to join. She was also a member of the Extension Club, Happy Hour Club, and was involved with Liberty Hall Grange and the Farm Bureau Discussion Group.Nelda was an active 4-H leader with the Giggling Gabblers 4-H Club where her daughters were involved in sewing and home economics projects. She cared for many children in her home including her grandchildren and neighbors children and also helped elderly women with their house cleaning. Nelda is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ben Waggoner.Nelda is survived by her husband William, 4 daughters, Tammy Orr (Perry), Laurie Sipe and Jill Czajkowski (Dale) all of Longmont and Noreen Musick (Jim) of Estes Park, sister Carolee Merlino (Phil) and brother Daniel Waggoner (Janice) both of Thornton, and grandchildren Chad and Cory Musick, Maggie and Ben Orr, and Melanie, Kyle, and Ellese Czajkowski.Visitation will be from 11am “ 1pm, Sunday, July 21 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel with the family present to greet friends. Private interment will take place at Foothills Gardens of Memory. A Memorial Service will be held at 11am, Monday, July 22 at Central Presbyterian Church.
