In her early years, the family moved every summer because her father served in the military.
She graduated from the University of Wyoming and moved to Denver for work. In 1989, she married Alvin Terry and moved to the Longmont area.
Dena was an ardent traveler, always eager to explore new places. Her love for England, Alvin's birthplace, was particularly strong, and she cherished the times she spent with her relatives there. The family's adventures extended to Portugal and continental Europe.
Dena was passionate about and loved teaching. She started as a substitute teacher and was a founding parent of Twin Peaks Charter Academy. From 2003 to 2020, she focused on fifth grade—and sixth-grade math.
Dena was an avid reader, phenomenal bowler, and rescuer of animals. The Terrys provided a home to many abandoned pets, including mischievous cats and small dogs with strange personalities.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Monty Holloway. She is survived by her loving husband, Alvin Terry, her children, Lauren Rae Terry and Nicholas Mark Terry (Kristin), and her siblings, Mitchell Holloway (Jan) and Pamela Cosgrove (James).
She will be dearly missed and will forever be in our hearts.
A memorial service for Patricia will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Howe Mortuary & Crematory, 439 Coffman Street, Longmont, Colorado. A reception will follow the service.

Services are entrusted to Howe Mortuary & Crematory of Longmont, Colorado.
