

Paul Albert Brooks, 66, of Broomfield, died August 9, 2013 at St. Anthony’s North Hospital. He was born March 10, 1947 in Des Moines, Iowa the son of William Robert and Marcella (Larsen) Brooks. Following his high school graduation Paul went on to attend and graduate from Drake University. He served in the United States Air Force spending time in Vietnam. He married Cynthia Isaacs in 1974 in Illinois. They later divorced.
Paul was the owner and operator of Redwood Homebuilders, constructed Alvenus Business Park and spent his free time enjoying his family, watching sports and fishing when time permitted. He was an avid reader of the Economist and was interested in world politics and will be fondly remembered for his sarcasm.
He is survived by his son Wayne Brooks of Cedar Park, TX and his daughter Laura Amaya of Longmont, CO and four grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister Mary Thatcher of Broomfield, CO.
Services will be held at the Darrell Howe Mortuary in Lafayette, CO. Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 14 at Green Mountain Cemetery in Boulder, CO.
