
Paul William Webb, Jr., 88, of Longmont, CO, passed away October 7, 2013. He was born May 22, 1925 in Scranton, PA to Paul & Esther (Downey) Webb, Sr.Paul married his high school sweetheart, Lois Houston, just prior to his departure for World War II. Paul served as an Army Air Corp Lt and navigator, flying B-29 missions in the Pacific. He lived most of his life in Michigan, spent his later years in Missouri and most recently, Colorado. Paul was a mechanical engineer and head of an experimental testing lab in the automotive industry, working for Midland Ross and American Motors, where he helped design parts for the Humvee.Paul was affiliated with the Protestant Church and a 60 year member of the Masons and Scottish Rite. He was an avid sailor and enjoyed exploring the Great Lakes in his sailboat. He loved astronomy, fishing, nature, bowling, photography, traveling, learning and reading. He had a scientific mind and could fix or build nearly anything.Paul was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 34 years, Lois and his second wife of 25 years, Donna.Paul is survived by his daughter, Susan Webb of Lafayette, CO, son Paul William (Joie) Webb, III of Ozawkie, KS, grandchildren David (Melinda) Webb, Jeffrey Webb, Sarah (Bobby) Webb Hegeman, Jennifer Webb and Russell (Olivia) Webb and 6 great-grandchildren, Mason, Noah, Benjamin, Jacob, Samuel and Timothy.No local services will be held.
