Pauline Zinge

Pauline Zinge, 92, of Erie, Colorado, died May 7, 2007 at Longmont United Hospital.Pauline was born June 23, 1914 in Boulder, Colorado, to Fred and Margaret (Kuhn) Harder. She grew up and attended schools in the Lafayette area.On August 18, 1931, Pauline married Julius ?Bud? Zinge in Globeville, Colorado. The couple made their home in Louisville before moving to California in 1955. Upon Bud?s retirement, the Zinges returned to Colorado in 1980.Mrs. Zinge was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She also enjoyed camping and fishing as well as crafts such as crocheting.She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Shirley Abernathy and her husband, Verne, of Dacono, and Sharon Sosa and her husband, Jesse, of Erie; 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband in March 1997; her parents; two sons, Robert and Ronald Zinge; a brother, Harold Harder; and five sisters, Katie Frank, Mary Davies, Freda Bracegirdle, Esther Seewald, and Rene Schenider.Visitation will be held at Howe Mortuary, Longmont from 2-7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2007 with family present to greet visitors from 5-7 p.m. No other memorial services are planned.
