Peggy Marie Dowling

Peggy was born in Butte, Montana on June 3, 1952, to Charlie and Tyme Saari. She met her childhood sweetheart, Gary Dowling Sr., around 1967, and they were married in Butte, Montana in 1971. Together, they raised three sons, Gary Dowling Jr., Kevin Dowling, and Jeffrey Dowling, and made Wyoming their permanent home.

During her time in Wyoming, Peggy balanced a successful career at PP&L with pursuing her education, ultimately earning an Associate's Degree in Business. She was a devoted mother, supporting her sons in all their endeavors, from sports to academics. Peggy took pride in her Finnish heritage and loved spending time outdoors, engaging in activities like boating, fishing, camping, and traveling with her family.

Peggy is survived by her sons Gary Dowling Jr., Kevin Dowling (Tory), and Jeffrey Dowling (Niki), grandchildren Tavi, Nathan, Ryan, and Trinity, and great-grandchild Tinley. She was preceded in death by her husband Gary Dowling (2021), mother Tyme Saari (1999), father Charlie Saari (1978), and several siblings.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Peggy will be held at the Keyhole Golf and Country Club, located at 230 Pine Haven Rd., Pine Haven, Wyoming 82721 June 15, 2024 at 11am with light reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pine Haven Volunteer Fire Department.

Peggy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her legacy of love, strength, and dedication will live on in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in peace.
