
Phyllis I. (Morrison) Marsh passed away from cancer on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at her home in Longmont, Colorado surrounded by family. She was 89 years old.Phyllis was born on March 6, 1924 in Sioux City, Iowa to Nelson ˜Nels' and Mamie M. (McBride) Broulette. She graduated from Central High School in Sioux City, Iowa in 1942 after which she graduated from comptometer school.She married Robert Dean Morrison in Sioux City at the First Baptist Church in November 12, 1946. He preceded her in death on March 3, 1964. Phyllis later married Ronald Jay Marsh at the First Lutheran Church on May 6, 1978 in Longmont. He preceded her in death in January 1999.Phyllis moved to Longmont from Denver in 1962. She worked as a bookkeeper for Mountain Truck and Equipment until retiring in 1984. Phyllis was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Longmont, and a lifetime member of Mu Master Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.Family was the most important part of her life. She loved spending time and laughing with family and enjoyed being a part of each of their lives. Phyllis was an excellent cook and always knew the favorite dish to make for each family member. Everyone especially enjoyed her homemade rolls, fried breads, chocolate rolls, and homemade chicken and noodles. She enjoyed and treasured time spent with friends through various bridge groups and sorority. She was preceded in death by her first husband Robert Dean Morrison and second husband Ronald Jay Marsh; her parents, brother Loal ˜Bub' Broulette during World War II, brother Earl and wife Millie Broulette, and baby sister Lois Broulette; brother-in-law Hugh Morrison and wife Pat, and sister-in-law Shirley Phye.Phyllis is survived by her loving daughters Sharon Kaye Hipsher and husband Tim, Roberta Renae Mack, and Aldea Marie Wolther of Longmont; her grandchildren Jeremy Hipsher (fiancé Kelley Komula) of Arvada, Jamie Hipsher (fiancé Kim Beckner) of Fort Collins, Janae Hipsher (fiancé Andrew Baker) of Broomfield; Melissa Clark of Arvada, Melinda (Jon) Beal of Berthoud, Michele (Chris) Clark of Thornton; Brandon (Rachel) Wolther of Ephrata, WA, Clint (Amanda) Wolther of Soap Lake, WA, and Dustin (Kelley) Wolther of Ephrata; her great-grandchildren Jaxson Hipsher, Emma and Bryson Hipsher, Kyla Baker; Maegan, Kayla and Rachel Beal, Jasmine and Connor Clark; Jacob, Nathan, and KaitlynWolther, Clayton and Scarlet Wolther, Isaac Wolther; and one great grandson due in April; her sister Marie Barnes (Floyd) of Riverside, CA; her brother-in-law E.L. ˜Piper' Phye of Canon City; numerous nieces and nephews; and her special lifelong friend Judy O'Daniels of Lakewood. She's also survived by her beloved Granddog Sugar.A memorial service will be held 2:00pm Friday, March 22, 2013 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
