Raymond Paul Stanton

Raymond P. Stanton, born 1936 in Millville, New Jersey, died on September 4, 2016.He is survived by his friend Jana Faye, brothers Don and Jack, sister Marion, his children Michael and Shelly, Shelly's husband Shawn McQuery and their two children Tom and Maxwell, Jana's children Laurie and Daren Faye, and Daren's wife Michelle and their children Tyler and Kaitlyn.Raymond was a life guard in Cape May, New Jersey, a Marine, a Postman, an Insurance Agent and a driver. He is best known for his eternal optimism, and his ability to impart that optimism and confidence to those he came into contact with. He did what he could to support those he knew. Raymond volunteered with CareConnect, driving people to and from their doctors' appointments and because of his selfless desire to help others was recognized as Driver of the Year in 2015. That unexpected award gave him great pride and joy. He loved Jana and his children very much, and if possible, he loved his grandchildren even more. He was a good man.A memorial service for Raymond will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
