Ricky Dean Hurtado

Ricky Dean Hurtado, 35, of Firestone, died March 9, 2013 at his home.  He was born in Boulder, Colorado on July 28, 1977 to Joseph Hurtado and Mary Lou Rivera Hurtado.  He graduated from Frederick High School in 1995.  

He was a devoted, loving daddy to his two beautiful girls.  He was an electrician, working side by side with his brother in their business, Livewires Electrical Services.  In his free time he enjoyed camping and water sports, especially riding his jet ski.  He also enjoyed restoring cars with his dad.  Ricky was a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church.

He is survived by his daughters Serenity and Anishia Hurtado, his parents Joe “Blackie” and Mary Lou Hurtado and his brother Ronnie (Corrie) Hurtado of Firestone, his brother Randy (Mischi) Hurtado of Thornton and his grandmother Susie DiLullo of Frederick.  

A Rosary will be held on Thursday, March 14 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Frederick.  The Funeral Mass will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 15 at St John The Baptist Catholic Church in Longmont.  Burial will follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.  The family invites everyone to celebrate Ricky’s life at a reception following the burial at Bella Rosa Golf Course in Frederick.
