

Bob was born on May 11,1942 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to William Haggerty and Esther Reidy Haggerty. He grew up in Scranton where he was active in many sports. Bob was an accomplished boxer and a championship diver for his high school. He was also a polished golfer, learning the game as a caddy at Scranton Country Club.
Following high school, Bob joined the U.S. Navy. Bob was proud of his military career and enjoyed serving his country. After a beautiful romance, Bob married the love of his life, Patricia Ann Lambert, on November 26, 1966 in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
While working for IBM, Bob transferred to Longmont with his family in 1976. Bob retired from IBM after 29 years and then began working for Lockheed Martin at the Boulder facility. Bob retired from Lockheed Martin in March of 2011. Bob was a dedicated and valued employee throughout his entire career.
Bob’s family was of utmost importance to him. He cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was proud of his Irish heritage and always looked forward to his annual St. Patrick’s Day party. Bob loved to dance with Pat, golfing, and sharing a cold beer with friends. His wonderful sense of humor and frequent quips and quotes captured all who knew him. Bob had a kind and loving heart.
Preceding him in death are his parents, a brother, Gerald Haggerty, and beloved son-in-law, Scott Dreyfuss.
Surviving are his wife of Longmont; daughter Kim Dreyfuss of Loveland, son Robert (Nicole) Haggerty Jr. of Frederick; brother William (Nancy) Haggerty of Scranton, Pennsylvania; sister-in-law Judi (Terry) Pentico of Longmont; and grandchildren Kayla Dreyfuss, Riley Haggerty and Tavan Haggerty. Bob is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation hours will be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 10 at the Howe Community Room.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., September 11 at Light of Christ Ecumenical Catholic Community, 1000 15th Ave. Longmont, CO 80501
Interment will follow at the Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the Robert Haggerty Memorial Fund for the Education of his grandchildren.
