

Bob was born on June 18, 1946 to Clayton Davies and Therese Tiplady Davies in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Following the death of his father and high school graduation, he made a road trip to Colorado where he would spend the rest of his life.
Bob married Eleanore “Ellie” Gallegos on November 22, 1972 in Boulder, Colorado.
Bob took a position with Arapahoe Chemical in 1968. He spent 30 years with the company and all its changes through CenTex and Roche Pharmaceutical. He retired as their Production Planning Manager. Following his retirement in 1996, he was sought after by the industry as a consultant for Upfront Service; Kelly Services; API Center. He also worked as a Real Estate Agent/Assistant for Coldwell Banker Preferred Real Estate.
Bob had many and varied interests, he was an avid golfer playing with family and friends where he also enjoyed working as a starter at Sunset Golf Course. He was in Longmont bowling leagues for a number of years. He loved to travel with his loving wife; where they frequented cruises, seaside and beach resorts. There he took up scuba diving and water sports. He took a number of salmon fishing trips with his sons, enjoying the sport and camaraderie. A frequent visitor to Blackhawk and Central City, for his trips “up the hill’. A music lover and American History enthusiast, he took a deep interest in reading, study and listening. He was also a loyal follower of the Broncos.
Bob loved his community and gave back to it through volunteering in a number of areas. He worked with Meals on Wheels the past number of years a couple of days a week; with Boulder County Sheriff’s Office as a Victim’s Advocate; and helped secure statistics for the Colorado State Population Census.
Preceding him in death are his parents and a granddaughter Aimee Maly.
Surviving are his wife of Longmont; daughters Catherine (Max) Romero of Longmont; Cindy Parra of Longmont; sons Michael Davies of Longmont and David Parra of Frederick; grandchildren Joshua and Kelley Romero; Jordan Maly; and Isaah and Rheise Parra.
A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 13 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 14 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
