Bert was born December 27, 1928 in rural Weld County, the son of Robert Louis and Beatrice Juanita (Ledford) Summers. He served in the United States Army Air Force and spent his career as a truck driver, retiring in 2002.
In 1947 he married Eldora Day, they later divorced. On June 17, 1985 he married Barbara Coshow in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
His wife Barbara of Longmont, 8 children, 20 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild survive Bert
Memorial services will be held on Monday, August 1, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. At Grace Place, Berthoud. CO.
