He leaves behind two sisters, Sharon Rhatican and Diane Harper, two brothers-in-laws, numerous nieces and nephews and many close friends. He is preceded in death by parents, William and Margaret Layne, grandparents, and a sister, Dawn Barnett.
Mr. Layne was born September 23, 1955 in Washington, DC but spent most of his life in Boulder County. In his early years, he worked at several print shops in and around the Boulder area and in Arizona.
He had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed swimming, climbing, fishing and hiking.
Arrangements are under the direction of Howe Mortuary in Longmont, Colorado. No services are planned.
