Robert C. Siekman

Robert was born in Arlington, MA on April 11, 1938 to Gertrude (McMasters) and Charles Siekman. He grew up in Bedford, MA with his two brothers and four sisters, and graduated from Concord High School. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army.

On April 20, 1963, Robert married Joan Marie Calvert. Together, they had two sons, Robert Jr. and Jeffery, and a daughter, Cathleen. The family moved to Longmont, CO from Littleton, MA in 1973. Robert began a career at IBM, where he worked for 33 years before his retirement.

Robert was a devout man of faith and a member of St. John’s the Baptist Catholic Church in Longmont. He liked to hike and enjoyed fishing and gardening. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He will be missed.

Robert is survived by his sons, Robert C. Siekman, Jr. and Jeffery T. Siekman, daughter, Cathleen A. Austin, grandchildren, Jared Austin, Camile Siekman and Haylei Siekman, and by his sisters, Elizabeth Macdonald and Barbara Patterson. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joan Marie Siekman, his parents Charles & Gertrude Siekman, brothers, Charles Siekman and Bill Siekman, and his sisters, Peggy Brown and Dorothy Cormier.

A Visitation will be held for Robert on Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, 326 Terry St., Longmont, Colorado 80501, followed by a Rosary at 6:00 PM. Mass of Christian burial will occur Friday, December 23, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 323 Collyer Street, Longmont, Colorado 80501. Robert will be laid to rest at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery, 620 11th Avenue, Longmont, Colorado 80501.
