She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Veronica Babinetz, her brothers James and Bernard Babinetz, and her sister Agnes M. Heller. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Chuck, her sister Marianne Ruby, her daughter Jami Leugers (Steve and granddaughters Emily, Abbie and Hannah), her daughter Jill Peterson (Chris), her daughter Jodi Cox (Steve and granddaughter Kailee and grandson Jacob), her son Chad Peterson (Aimee), her daughter Julie Miller (granddaughter Claire and grandsons Carter and Peyton), and her daughter-in-law Hannah Hippely.
Rosalie was a force of nature, overcoming and persevering through countless waves of physical and emotional setbacks in the past 30 years while never forgetting to enjoy every moment, cherish her family and friends, and display her fierce and unstoppable humor. Fiercely loyal and deeply faithful, she showered the world in her beauty, grace, and character.
A Memorial Mass will be held for Rosalie at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church on Friday, February 24th, 2023 at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to TRU Community Care, the organization which provided support and comfort to Rosalie and her family throughout her time in hospice care.
