Diane lived in Ft. Macleod, Alberta, Canada until she married Homer Gardner on January 29, 1966. They moved to Boulder, Colorado and eventually to Longmont where they resided for many years. In her later years, Diane moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where she lived for approximately 10 years.
Diane loved to garden and was known for her beautiful flower beds. She collected depression glass, and loved to go antiquing where she bought many pieces of furniture and refinished them over the years. She enjoyed movies, books and spending time with her grandchildren when they were younger. Diane was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was always kind and generous, had a beautiful smile, and was loved dearly by her family. She will truly be missed, but we are comforted knowing that she is finally reunited with her loving husband.
She is survived by her son, Roger Gardner and his wife Jennette of Longmont, CO, and her daughter, Stefanie Gold and her husband Jason Hickenlooper of Murray Utah.; 6 grandchildren, Cameron Gardner, Kaitlynn Gardner, Marek Bouchard, Morgan Golightly, Michaela Gold and Brendan Gold. She is predeceased by her husband, Homer Gardner, her daughter, Shannon Golightly, and her parents.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
