Roy Warren Forgy

Roy Warren Forgy passed away June 11, 2018 at his home. He was 75 years old.Roy was born on December 14, 1942 in Norton, KS to Roy, Sr. and Evelyn (Moorehead) Forgy. He grew up in Kansas before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force. While in the Air Force he was stationed in Montana where he met and married his first wife. Together they had a son Robert in Montana before moving to California where their daughter Crystal was born.Roy retired in 2009. Prior to that he was a Technical Support Engineer with extensive expertise in both Voice and Data Communications. He worked for various companies including Varolii, Vodavi, Nortel, and United Airlines. Throughout his career he lived and worked in California, Arizona, Kansas, and Colorado, before settling in Dacono, CO for over 10 years.He loved drinking beer while listening to live blues music. He was a fan of racing and owned race cars while living in Kansas. He also loved being near the ocean, and he spent many years riding his bike along the beach while living in California.Roy was preceded in death by his parents.He is survived by his children Robert (Rebecca) Forgy and Crystal Adair; and his dog Bailey.No local services will be held. Memorial contributions can be made to the Longmont Humane Society. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. Inurnment will be in Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO.
