Ruth A Martinez

Ruth married Fred Martinez in Mountain View, CO on September 1, 1983. Ruth and her husband moved to Longmont in 1986. Both Ruth and Fred worked at Coors Brewery and retired within 6 months of each other in 1999. Ruth was a hard worker all of her life and loved sunrises and sunsets. She believed they are God’s paintings. She loved to bowl and was on the Captain and Crew Bowling League. The emblem for her team was the Tasmanian devil. Ruth loved animals of every shape and size, as well as birds and flowers. She was proud of her Native American heritage and faith.

Ruth is survived by her sons, Joe Wilkins (Tessa) of Longmont, Ronald Martinez of Denver, CO, 3 daughters, Joan Martin (Jeff) of Ogden, UT, Kimberly Martinez of Evans, CO and Patricia Martinez of Johnstown, CO. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grand children and great great grand children and by her sister-in-law Dora Greer of Marvel, CO, who was like a sister to her. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2004 and 1 sister, Roberta Allison and many other loved ones.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Howe Mortuary Chapel with interment at 1:00 p.m. at Mizpah Cemetery in Platteville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tri-Town Food Bank in care of Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman in Longmont, CO 80501.
