Ruth Wagner

Ruth J Wagner passed away peacefully at home on December 20, 2014 at the age of 94.Ruth was born on February 2, 1920 in Denver, CO to Oscar and Grace Rost. She grew up in Denver, moving to Longmont when she was 14. Following her graduation from Longmont High School, Ruth graduated from Colorado State University with degrees in Home Economics and minoring in Spanish and Chemistry. Ruth was a substitute teacher, and in 1972 went to work at Kmart for the next 13 years.On February 2, 1946, Ruth married Arthur Wagner in Longmont, CO. They were blessed with a son, Thomas Arthur in 1950 and a daughter, Lynn Anne in 1953. Ruth was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Elks Lodge #1055. She enjoyed playing Bridge, her Bible study groups, golf and the antique car club. She was a wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all who were privileged to know her. She will be greatly missed.She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur in 1987; her parents; her brother Bob Rost and her niece Carolann Basile.Ruth is survived by her son, Tom (Debbie) Wagner of Billings, MT; her daughter Lynn (Wally) Nathan of Denver, CO; her grandchildren Angela (Keith) Haupt; Aaron (Heather) Wagner; Nick (Erin) Nathan and Brett Nathan; her great-grandchildren Alex and Cameron Haupt; Eleanor Wagner and Turner Nathan; nephews Doug and Mark Rost and niece Diane Baker.A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
