

Steve was born December 23, 1944 in Temple, TX the son of Max and Mabel Ann (Radloff) Fleischmann.
Steven wasn’t a fan of the traditional structured teaching environment however he was a student of many things, including metal working and horticulture. He was also often employed as a general handyman. His true passion, some would say love, was for firearms. He took pride in all things gun related and was known widely in the area for his expertise in this field.
Steve loved adventure and lived in many different places, including Columbia, but his true home was the Rocky Mountains.
Steve is survived by his daughter Gina, son John, stepdaughter Sandra and seven grandchildren, Chase, Emily, Turner, Natalia, Abraham, Daniel and Samuel.
Cremation has been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Cremation Services.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2011 at Howe Mortuary Chapel in Longmont. Private inurnment will be held.
Following the service, friends and family will gather for food and drink at Roosevelt Park, next to the Senior Center at 4:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made in Steve’s memory to the Longmont United Hospital Foundation.
