Susie Ryan

Susie Ryan, 61, of Longmont, died February 4, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer.Susie was born August 16, 1948 in Denver, CO, the daughter of Fred C. and Margaret ""Peggy"" Jones Ryan. She was a 1966 graduate of Arvada High School. After high school Susie studied and was employed in the field of interior design. In 1986 she purchased the Jamestown Mercantile with her former husband Joe Howlett, fondly known as ""The Merc"" where they revived the business to be the center of Jamestown. Shortly after leaving the business she moved to California where she was active with city aquatics programs teaching swimming to senior citizens. Most recently she moved to Mexico where she designed her home. This property had it's own swimming pool where Susie helped provide swimming lessons for the youth of the community.Susie was preceded in death by her father and her brother Dennis Ryan. She is survived by her mother Peggy Ryan of Longmont, her step-son Zach Howlett of Ithaca, New York and many dear friendsCremation has been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Crematory.Please make memorial contributions to your favorite charity in Susie's memory.
